Experience
A recognized expert in indirect taxation, Éric Réolon has built his career across Luxembourg, Belgium, and Canada, developing over the past 20 years a deep expertise in VAT within highly regulated environments.
He began his career at Deloitte Luxembourg in 2002, before joining PwC Luxembourg in 2004. There, he spent several years advising clients in the e-business sector during a pivotal period for Europe’s digital economy. He also completed a secondment at PwC’s Brussels office before relocating to Canada in 2011. At PwC Toronto, he tackled the complexities of the Canadian tax system and honed his specialization in the GST/HST treatment of financial services - an area known for its technical challenges.
In 2013, Éric returned to Luxembourg and rejoined Deloitte, where he remained until 2025. He focused on high-value consulting engagements, particularly for international financial institutions and leading asset management players. His work included VAT structuring, optimization, and compliance assignments, while also contributing to the digital transformation of tax functions.
Deeply committed to knowledge sharing, Éric has been teaching VAT for over fifteen years - through corporate trainings, internal workshops, and external courses. He has mentored and trained numerous teams throughout his career, always striving to instil a culture of precision, pedagogy, and intellectual curiosity.
Since 2025, Éric has been part of VAT Solutions with a clear mission: to leverage his international experience, passion for transmission, and strong sectoral expertise to develop a tailored VAT offering for financial sector professionals. He also supports the firm's growth strategy by delivering high-quality, expert-level VAT advisory services focused on precision, compliance, and long-term value creation.
Education and qualifications
Éric holds a Master’s degree (LL.M.) in Tax Law from the University of Strasbourg.
