Through our VAT consulting and compliance services, we act as a single point of contact for our clients, regardless of the country in which they encounter VAT issues.

Our clientele consists of international companies, primarily active in the operational sector involving international trade in goods and services. It also increasingly welcomes entities from the financial sector.

We are looking for a VAT manager with good accounting skills for a position that involves preparing VAT returns for our clients in Luxembourg and abroad (mainly France, Belgium, Germany).

The VAT manager will be supervised by an experienced team who will provide training.

Position location: Luxembourg City (station), Mondorf-les-Bains, teleworking.

The missions

External missions

  • Understanding of VAT issues related to clients’ activities.
  • Contact with clients for the implementation of work processes, timely receipt of information to be processed, as well as reporting, monitoring and resolution of anomalies noted.
  • Preparation of company identification for VAT in different countries.
  • Preparation and monitoring of VAT/OSS declarations and summary statements on behalf of clients
  • Supervision of the preparation of INTRASTAT declarations.
  • Occasional contacts with tax authorities and partners in different countries.
  • Contacts with clients to advise them on their VAT compliance, in coordination with a partner or director.

Internal missions

  • Understanding of the declarative aspects induced by customer activity.
  • Implementation of work processes in coordination with VAT Solutions Directors to ensure monitoring and fulfillment of reporting obligations.
  • Verification of the consistency of the elements provided by the client.
  • Strengthening VAT skills by working on EU case law rulings, European, Luxembourg and French VAT regulations.
  • Preparation of training materials.
  • Active participation in technical meetings.

Education and experience required

Diploma in accounting or management studies (equivalent to Bachelor’s degree – Bac +3 minimum).

Beginner accepted but experience in “Big 4” or in trust would be a plus.

Team spirit is essential.

Computer skills: proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Languages: French required, English level B1 minimum. Fluency in German is highly desirable.
